Goosehaven
Goosehaven is the name that I have given to the property of my wife, Sabine. It is a small hobby farm near Sterling, Michigan, with about 10 acres. Sterling is just North of Standish which is 2 hours North of Detroit on I-75. I make the trip almost every weekend.
I call the place Goosehaven because we have 18 white Chinese geese including one gosling. Sabine wanted to call it North Wolf Castle or something like that, but we don't have any wolves. The most prominent feature on the property is the gaggle of geese and they make so much noise that they're pretty hard to ignore.
Three goslings from the 2008 batch.
Translucent plants in the front yard.
Geese in front of the old barn.
Ken's wheat field to the East of our property.
The backyard beyond the fence.
Shelby, who is half German sheppard.
The goosepen. I did a lot of work clearing the goosepen this year.
That's why there are several pictures of it.
